Privacy Policy

Effective September 13, 2026. Questions? Email support@DeGuilds.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what information DeGuilds collects when you use DeGuilds.com (for both WoW: Forever and World of Warcraft: Midnight), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1.Information We Collect

We only collect what we need to verify holders, link characters and run guilds. Depending on what you connect, that includes:

  • Wallet information. Your public wallet addresses and which chains they're on (Solana, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain). We never collect private keys or seed phrases, and signing in never creates a transaction.
  • Sign-in account. An account identifier from Privy, the service that handles wallet sign-in.
  • Battle.net. Your Battle.net account ID, BattleTag and the World of Warcraft characters on your account (name, realm, class, race, level, faction and guild). We don't receive your Battle.net password.
  • Discord. Your Discord user ID and username, plus access tokens that let us add you to a guild's server and manage its holder role. Tokens are encrypted at rest.
  • X (Twitter). If you connect it, your X account ID and handle.
  • Token balances. Balances of a guild's gate token in your linked wallets. This is public blockchain data we read on a schedule.
  • Guild content. Anything you submit, such as guild names, taglines, descriptions, gate settings, links and screenshots uploaded for manual ownership review.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and error logs, collected automatically when you use the site.

2.How We Use Your Information

  • Sign you in and keep your session secure.
  • Check that your wallets hold enough of a guild's token, and re-check on the schedule the guild sets.
  • Confirm Guild Masters lead their guild in-game using Blizzard's public roster data.
  • Place you in a guild's invite queue, grant or remove Discord holder roles, and send alerts to the guild's officers.
  • Show public profiles, rosters and guild pages.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, spam and duplicate or impersonating listings.
  • Operate, maintain, debug and improve DeGuilds, and respond to support requests.
  • Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

3.What Other People Can See

Guilds are social by design, so some information is shown publicly on DeGuilds:

  • Guild rosters list member character names, levels, classes and ranks, and your X handle if you've connected X.
  • Guild pages show the Guild Master's character and X handle, the gate token and the guild's settings.
  • Armory profiles for linked characters can show which DeGuilds guild they're in, holder status, a shortened wallet address and the gate token balance.

A guild's Guild Master and officers can also see what they need to run the guild: members' characters, Discord usernames and holder status (including when someone drops below the minimum).

4.How We Share Information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers who help run DeGuilds, including Privy (wallet sign-in), Blizzard Entertainment (Battle.net sign-in and game data), Discord (sign-in, roles and alerts), X (account linking), hosting and database providers, and blockchain RPC and market data providers. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
  • With guilds you join, as described in “What Other People Can See.”
  • For legal reasons, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of DeGuilds, our users or others.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

Your use of Battle.net, Discord, X and your wallet provider is also governed by those companies' own privacy policies.

5.Blockchain Data

Wallet addresses and token balances are recorded on public blockchains that anyone can read. DeGuilds doesn't control those networks and can't change or delete information stored on them. Removing a wallet from DeGuilds stops us from using it, but doesn't affect the blockchain.

6.Cookies and Local Storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries that are needed for the site to work:

  • A secure session cookie that keeps you signed in.
  • Short-lived cookies that protect Battle.net and Discord sign-in from tampering.
  • Preferences, such as whether you've already seen the intro video.

Our sign-in provider may set its own cookies to keep your wallet session active. We don't use advertising cookies.

7.Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to run DeGuilds. Guild history (such as membership changes and balance checks) is kept so Guild Masters and holders have an accurate record. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep it for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.

8.Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections, encryption of sensitive tokens at rest and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. DeGuilds staff will never ask for your private keys, seed phrase or passwords.

9.Your Choices and Rights

  • You can link or switch wallets and connect Battle.net, Discord and X at any time from your account menu.
  • You can leave a guild, and a Guild Master can remove a listing they own.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing support@DeGuilds.com.

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK or California), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to or restricting certain processing. We'll respond to requests as required by applicable law and won't discriminate against you for exercising them.

10.Children

DeGuilds isn't intended for children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and UK, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact support@DeGuilds.com and we'll delete it.

11.International Transfers

DeGuilds and our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

12.Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, give notice on the site. Continuing to use DeGuilds after an update means you accept the revised policy.
